Yesterday we were honored at a Luncheon held for National Philanthropy Day and the Rochester Convention Center. The Wilmot Cancer Center nominated the Foundation for Outstanding Foundation. We enjoyed a nice reception for those that were nominated followed by a very nice Lunch. Unfortunately we did not win the actual award but felt as though we left winners.
If we would have won, here is an excerpt you would have heard.. I substituted would have for accept.
We would have accepted this award on behalf of the many volunteers and event chairs that have worked so hard to help raise monies to find a cure and to enhance the quality of life for those afflicted with Cancer.
We would have accepted this award for the many that have and are continuing to support us on this journey and on behalf of those that we are taking this journey for.

Cancer is a subject that most don't like to talk about . Probably most would rather avoid the subject and all of the emothions that go with it. How about we switch gears and use this forum to share your stories of being a survivor.
If you are a survivor and would like to share your story, we would love to hear it. Encourage others to "hop on" our webiste and do the same.
What you have to say may help someone cope or give them some much needed hope.
